I've been traveling and I'm behind on TV, so nothing much to report here. I'm still so mad at Sleepy Hollow that I'm two episodes behind, although it sounds like this week's episode may have been a step in the right direction. |
I did however get suckered into watching the Newsroom by the dual promise of Kat Dennings and Chris Messina, and I can report back that Aaron Sorkin is still making all of the same mistakes. The obsession with nobility and black/white morality (and making all lawyers/psychiatrists condescending dicks) remains. He does know how to build to a dramatic conclusion, though, and he can write a feud like nobody's business. I'm also pleased that Sloane seems to be slotted into the mold of so many of his male archetypes, despite being a woman. Finally. I would so be there for a show that was just Sloane and the Reese/twins family drama. But that is not this show.
Continuing my trend of out-of-the-blue, I don't even know stories, I wrote a Selfie thing last week: Through Rose Colored Filters. And then the show was immediately canceled because I have whatever the media equivalent of a black thumb is.
